					<description>	Dear Sophie,
            I simply cannot believe it,
had a &amp;#8220;Cowie News&amp;#8221; letter from your Dad
and when I last saw you, you were 12yrs.
and there you have stayed for all this
time and now look at where you are and
what you have done. As my l8yr. old grand
daughter would say&quot;wow! cool&amp;#8221; It is a
grand website and I truly enjoy all your
adventures, most importantly you have a
great sense of humour. Keep it up Sophie
you are building some fantastic memories
for later in life. hope you will report
on your view of the Chinese New Year.
My very best wishes, Jean Mailer McKeown.

<description>	Cool! Some fascinating points and insights. The discipline thing in particular, as I am sure a lot of teachers over here will sympathise. And your mum has been proved right, it is important to always wear clean underwear&amp;#8230;lol!
One aspect of this site that is intriguing (sorry, never could spell that well!) is charting your attitudes and moods as you aclimatise and adjust to the culture there. It makes this journal a wonderful educational tool.
	Keep up the good work.

<description>	One entry for the whole of November? I have some questions I would like answered! How does the education system over there compare to here? What is the emphasis on? Do you think it is a good idea to have foreign language teachers for kids that young and would it work in Scotland? Are people just people or are the cultural differences too much for a comparison to be made? Are you picking up more of the language? What is TV like, how is it treated in the Eastern culture? How are westerners viewed? (You have touched on this in the touristy parts but what about everyday?)

					<description>	Hi Sophie,
I&amp;#8217;m also really impressed with your site, top marks all round. I found your site while searching for information about Shanghai East Century School. I have been offered a full time position at the school teaching english and was hoping you could give me an insight to what it&amp;#8217;s like and anything I should bring to make life easier teaching in Shanghai.
I would love any information or tips you could provide.
	Hayden
